Is Turkish Airlines Resuming Aleppo Flights?

The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority has announced that Aleppo International Airport will reopen for air traffic on Tuesday, March 18. Officials stated that all necessary technical and administrative preparations have been completed, and both domestic and international flights will resume. Airlines have been invited to operate flights to Aleppo.

After 13 years, Turkish Airlines (THY) resumed flights to Syria under new management, making its first landing in Damascus on January 23. Currently, Istanbul-Damascus flights operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Now, all eyes are on Aleppo, as THY is expected to launch flights to the city soon.
